Seriously Venting

Yesterday it was freakin' 80 degrees outside.  It was actually almost too hot for my dogs on the walk we went on.  I was having to drag Breck just to get them home!  And I wake up this morning to what???? SNOW!  That is so freaking retarded.  Colorado weather is pissing me off!  It is MAY for crying out loud!!  Grrr....  ok here goes:  I hope Mother Nature gets stranded in her car broken down in front of the houses for FIVE rapists.  I hope she has  hangnail in every other finger and a splinter in every opposite finger.  I hope she stepped on a nail and gets gangrene and has to have her foot removed, birds are constantly pooping on her car.  She can't get the ringing of bells out of her ears.  Her radio WON'T TURN OFF and the only thing that will play is 98 Degrees and Britney Spears songs.  Ok, I'm not mad anymore.

A Review of Harlan Coben

My first book review.  "Yay!"  Ok, I just finished reading Hold Tight by Harlan Coben.  I must say that the book was slightly disappointing.  Don't get me wrong, it was great and had that famous "Harlan Coben Twist" at the end.  Maybe it is just me, but the twist (while not foreseen) was pretty disappointing.  I won't give anything away, but seriously even I could have thought of a better twist for the book.  Another thing I noticed that was lacking in Coben's latest thriller was his trademark humor.  The Myron Bolitar series is packed full of humor.  You can't help but at least crack a smile or stifle a chuckle at least once (per chapter).  Even his other titles have some humor.  I don't recall even a smile escaping my lips in Hold Tight.  The book does deliver the "can't put it down" that Harlan Coben's books all possess, but I'm hoping the next one will be more like his previous titles.

Why Am I Friends With These People?

So... already a new post.  Wow!  *dies*  Ok anyway, I have been thinking about MNI a lot today.... probably because I am addicted to it and only discovered it a couple of weeks ago even though I've been visiting Mugglenet.com for years!  SO.... of course I talk about it all the time.  I rather enjoy the jokes people make about it and the looks.  I know it is all in good humor and I just think, "Well... if you tried it... you'd see it was amazing!!"  Plus, it isn't any different than playing some Tom Clancy/Need for Speed game on XBOX 360 for 8 hours at a time.  Same thing... but MNI is way cooler!  Ok, so I have kind of gone off track.... this post is intended to talk about my two... no three closest friends.  I won't name names... but I will use a letter.  None of them like Harry Potter at all.  Now, B will watch the movies with me if I make him, but refuses to read the books... LAME!!!!!   H refuses to do either.  She won't even watch the first movie in its entirety.  That disturbs me.... seriously.  And finally C.  I thought she was all down with HP until recently.  I found out she hasn't read the books and has only seen the first movie.  WTF?!  HaHa.... She said she was wondering when I would find out that she hasn't seen any other ones.  I am going to have to crack down on these folks!  My friend, M, was all about some HP.  We even dressed up together and went to the OoTP premier at midnight and the DH release at Borders at midnight.  BUT.... unfortunately she has gone and joined the Army.  So... she isn't here to have lengthy Harry Potter discussions with me.  *cries a l'il*

*New* Project

So... I've decided to make a livejournal account.  I've never made one and, to be honest, this is because I never thought I'd ever keep up with it.  This is going to be my attempt.  I think a way I can do this is by using it for journaling (of course), but also as a way to review recent books and/or movies I see.  I probably won't review anything I've already seen or read simply because I want to review it while it is fresh.  Well, I take that back.  If I re-read or re-watch it... I'm sure I'll take the time to type a few words about it!  Anyway, that's it.... Happy Reading!!
